Many people have the same questions about what needs to be done to observe the Feasts. The biggest concern by many is the cost of observing the feasts, particularly Sukkot. So, let's start with some basics:

Read about the feast that is coming up next. Whether you are a veteran or a novice, reading Torah, the prophets and Brit HaDashah are the best, and most important places, to understand how and why to observe the appointed times of YHVH. If you will notice, the feasts of YHVH as listed in Leviticus 23 are perpetual. We are to celebrate them forever. Again, in Zechariah 14:18, YHVH tells us that the Feast of Sukkot will be celebrated in the future at Jerusalem.

Only after reading the Torah about keeping the feasts should you seek external sources. Remember, the Ruach has been given to us all in order to understand YHVH's Word.

While we are not keeping the sacrificial aspects of Torah, we must find Yeshua in the midst of the Feast. Ask that Yeshua celebrate His Feasts through you. In this, you will find the truest meanings and the deepest joy in your celebration time.

Now, concerning the cost of keeping the Feasts of YHVH, Deut. 14:23-29 gives us directives as to how we are to have tithes for the feasts (the first and second years) and what we may use it for when celebrating the Feasts. While we may not be able to go up to Jerusalem, we are able to assemble ourselves to keep the Feasts. Furthermore, Deut. 16 gives more understanding as to how to observe the feasts and how it relates to helping the widow, the orphans, the stranger and the Levite. What we see in Torah is the precedence to have a tithe of 10% that represents all of our increase (income for those that are not farmers or herders). This tithe is to be used in three year increments. The first two years are for going up to the feast, all the feasts that are pilgrimage (The Feast of Unleavened Bread, Shavuot and Sukkot Exodus 23:14-17.) The third year, your tithe is to be given to the orphan, widow, stranger and the Levite that is in your midst. Also, those same people being helped in the third year should be taken with you to the Feasts during the first two years. (Deut. 16:10-12)

What does all this mean? Study the Word about how to keep the Feasts. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how to observe and what it means. Set apart the portion of your tithing (separate amount from what you give to your local community which could be part of the first and second years but is also tithe from your first fruits) for the cost of going to the Feast. Your registration, camping and food costs should be covered by your tithing. If you do this right, you should be able to bless others that do not have enough (the widow, the orphan, the stranger and the Levite) to go with you to the Feasts.
