The following information is for those that have registered for Sukkot In-Tents 2007. It is a list of things you will need to bring for participating within various teams and other insights to the camp this year. If you have any questions, email us and we will be glad to help you.
We are still accepting registration for Sukkot In-Tents 2007! Don't miss out on the blessing of this season of joy. Preregistration may be over, but the you may still register.
Additional Sukkot Information:
While the tent area is the self-explained area of the campground for tent camping, it is limiting to the number of campers that can comfortably fit back their. Moreover, some sites have electric and water, while others are indicated to be primitive. Please know that we will have water splitters so that each site will have water. Additionally, with electric cords that would normally be brought, everyone will have electricity, that wants it.
With this in mind, some tent campers will be assigned RV sites. No site has concrete and there are not any sites, tent or otherwise, that have grassy areas for cushion. It is advisable to bring air mattresses no matter where you are to camp. Also, everyone should bring camp chairs for using at their sites, the Tent of Meeting and the Sukkah.
Remember, the east Tennessee mountain area can get a litlle chilly. There is even a chance that we could get our first cold front. What this means is that we could have temperatures ranging from 90º - the upper 40's. It is quite a contrast to pack for, and you may not even use the heavy clothes or use them much. However, do bring a jacket, sweater or sweat shirt for those chilly evenings, just in case.
We will be having a Camp Chili/Tex Mex Dinner on Friday evening, Oct. 5. Please bring the appropriate food items to participate. If you are not planning to enter the Chili Cook Off, then please prepare a Tex Mex style dish to share with other campers. On Saturday night, Oct. 6, we will have a leftover and cookout night. Feel free to have hamburgers and hotdogs or what ever else you may want for our last night together.
The Market Place:
We will be hosting a Market Place. Tab Bregg is in charge of this area and you may email him with any questions. People are welcome to have merchandise in the Market Place. We will assign a vendor number and you may then price your items on the sticker with your number for each item you place in the store. There will be one point of purchase where we will note whose items are being purchased. At the end of Sukkot (Sunday, Oct. 7) we will calculate the total sold per vendor and make payments or gather addresses to mail payments for sales. Please Note: Market Place vendors will be charged a 15% consignment fee for their sold items. This is the easiest way for the Market Place to function with one point of purchase and traffic flow and so forth. All merchandise sales during Sukkot should go through the Market Place, please. Thank you!
We Still Need Help:
We are in need of a qualified and enthusiastic Youth Leader for the Teens Tribal Counsel. This is a position that will take most of your time. We are praying for the right person to be called and anointed for this position. If you are interested, please let us know, as soon as possible.
There is still a need for children workers, musicians, hospitality workers, market place workers, security and Coffee House staff. Please pray for how you can serve at sukkot. Also, if you are a carpenter and can arrive early, we have several projects that you can help us with. We will be building a stage, sukkah and various other items onsite. Just let us know if this is a possibility. We will take care of your stay at the park for the time you can arrive early (a couple of days).

Market Place Sellers:
All items must be related to our walk/lifestyle in Messiah and Torah. This means we will watch what comes in and reserve the right to deny items based on proper Torah governing standards.
Bring items to sell to the Market Place on Thursday, Sept. 27 to be included in the Market Place. Tab Bregg and the other servents there will assist you by giving you a vendor number and price stickers with that number.
Once you have your vendor number, it is up to you to price your items so that all merchandise may be sold through one check-out system.
Upon the end of Sukkot, (Sunday, Oct. 7) you will receive the amount owed to you minus the 15% consignment fee.
If plan to sell items through the Market Place, please contact Tabb or Ben (click for emails) and let them know approximate inventory description and amounts.
All sales should go through the Market Place, please. |
